This recipe has been tweaked over many years to provide the best lathering and cleansing bar without drying the skin. When purchasing handmade soap, please keep in mind that the bars will not all be the same, they will not all be perfect, and they may have things like soda ash on them–usually on the top which washes off with your first use and is completely harmless. If you are looking for perfect looking soap, handmade soap might not be the best choice for you.
